Oak Fostering is a therapeutic fostering agency providing specialist long-term placements and tailor-made outreach support packages for children aged 0–18 years.

Every child is unique, and so is every foster family, that’s why we design each service package individually to meet both the child’s and the fostering families needs.

Specialist Long-Term Foster Placements

We focus on stability and permanence, creating placements that give children a real sense of belonging. Our carers are trained to work therapeutically with children who have experienced trauma, helping them to heal, grow, and thrive in a safe and supportive home.

Tailor-Made Outreach Support

Our outreach team works alongside carers to provide:

  • Practical, hands-on support in the home
  • Help managing challenging behaviours
  • Therapeutic input and strategies that are proven to work for the child
  • Assistance during times of transition or increased need

Because we know the children in our care, our support is always personal, informed, and consistent.

  • Parenting Work – Supporting birth families to strengthen parenting skills and relationships.
  • Transition Support – Helping children move smoothly from residential care or other placements into a foster family.
  • Ongoing Support for Long-Term Placements – Ensuring carers have the guidance, training, and resources they need at every stage.
  • Assessment Services – Providing professional assessments to inform care plans and placement decisions.
